Charlotte “Pat” Ann Whittenberger of Ladysmith, died July 15, 2010, at home surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with heart and lung disease. She was 71.
Pat was born July 5, 1939, in Rusk County to Morris and Orphia Webster of Wilkinson Township. She married Charles Leroy Whittenberger, Jr., Oct. 19, 1957, in Lino Lakes, Minn.
Charles and Pat were residents of Ladysmith for 34 years, also residing in Plymouth, Chester and Eyota, Minn., as well as Salinas, Kan., Rice Lake and Denver, Colo., before returning to Rusk County in 1976.
Pat and Charles were business owners of Whittenberger Trucking and Repair in Ladysmith.
She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.
Pat enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, knitting, and spending time at the lake, and collecting angels. She especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren and family.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three infant siblings, sisters, Pauline Ripinski and Gail Morgan.
Pat is survived by husband, Charles; daughter, Linda (Bob) Volkman of Clarksville, Tenn.; sons, Russ (Judy) of Ladysmith, Brian (Monica) of Osceola, and Bob (Kay) of St. Croix Falls; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jan (Marv) Brown, Kay (John) Culver, and Cheryl (Earnie) Jones; brothers, Jerry (Brigitte) Webster, Bob Webster, and Eldon (Sue) Webster.
Funeral services were July 20 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Ladysmith with Fr. Shaji and Deacon Doug Sorenson officiating. Burial was in St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Tony.
